Form B or ”open“ ampoules are flame-cut, a process characterized by
an absence of particles.
A new head-forming technique has been validated for Form D or “closed”
ampoules, with the advantage of a significant microbial reduction on the
inside of the ampoule by 6 logs = sterile.
According to the applicable SOP, the standard deviation of breaking-force
values is specified as < 3 Sigma.
